Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966. She was raised in the middle class family. The youngest of the children of three. She was a nun in a convent and developed an appreciation for art. Then she was enrolled at an institution called the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin, but left because she was not motivated and thought she would spend a year away to think about it. In the meantime, while she was with her friends at a cafe, she was approached by a photographer who inquired if she was interested to model. As if she had pockets money, she said yes. It was soon clear modeling profitable and enjoyable. She was able to travel around the globe for her commercial work after signing modeling contracts. The casting director saw her modeling work one day and encouraged her to attempt acting. At age 19, she was taken to London in which she was selected for the opportunity to play A View to a Kill ( 1985) an upcoming James Bond movie. She was a natural actor and her love for the role inspired her to take up acting as a career. In the wake of her first feature that she directed, she did a handful of TV shows in London and Dublin however her biggest break came when she got chosen to play Aryan seductress The Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
